Zyprexa (olanzapine) menstruation: Agents which alter central neurotransmission and hypothalamus (e.g. Elevated prolactin and psychotropic medications) result in insufficient stimulation of the ovaries and subsequently disruption of menstrual cycle. Zyprexa (olanzapine) may cause elevation of prolactin but needs to be confirmed by a blood test as there can be other reasons. Zyprexa (olanzapine) in various studies elevate prolactin but to a lesser degree.
