What can cause sharp pain from the chest to the toes?

Most Likely Nerves: There are a number of causes or "etiologies" for distributed pain. Most are related to neurologic dysfunction or nerve problems. This could be centered in either your brain, spinal chord or (less likely) peripheral nerves. You may want to visit with a neurologist about this. Most likley he/she will order tests, which can discern the cause of your pain.

Nerves: There are no tendons or muscles or bones that reach from chest to toes.
