A 42-year-old member asked:
what does the thyroid do for your body anyway?

Sets metabolism: Thyroid hormone controls the basal rate at which your body functions. Too much leads to racing thoughts, tremor, high body temp, many bowel movements, feeling of being hot, insomnia, weight loss despite great appetite. Too little leads to the opposite.

Norml body temp vary: Normal body temperature can vary from 96.5 to 100.5. So feeling of more warmth after sexual intercourse or any physical activity is normal.
Higher temperature due to high thyroid functioning is possible.
Have a blood tested for thyroid dysfunction to confirm.
