A member asked:

What cause repeat infections?in the kidney, chest, or throat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Complex: It may be that the infection was not treated effectively the first time, and is recurring. It may be due to impaired immune function from some underlying condition. It may be that there are anatomic abnormalities which are predisposing to infection. These are things that doctors learn in medical school and practice, so that if you have these infections, see your pcp.
