Post nasal drip: The answer is essentially no in terms of cause and effect. But the 2 can be related. If you have rhinitis (nose inflammation) you can have congestion from swelling and a runny nose (post nasal drip when it goes backwards into the throat). Chronic sinusitis can be the cause. Allergy also is a possibility. If your nose is not runny or congested it can be a laryngeal reflux problem instead.
