I had a septum operation to help my breathing. it sort of helped but i still get a lot of post nasal drip which causes a difficulty in breathing when i lay down and a lot of coughing. what could be the cause of this?

Inflammation: A local nasal steroid spray may reduce swelling and post nasal drip. Also try nasal saline rinses, while following up with your ENT physician. Avoid smoke, dust, pollen and mold. Allergy testing may be indicated and an antihistamine is effective if you have environmental allergies.
