A member asked:

Is taking rosuvastatin, a medicine to lower cholesterol, harmful to nursing mothers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unclear: Alghough the answer to your question is not completely known, statins (such as rosuvastatin) are contraindicated in pregnancy and in nursing mothers. I would avoid it completely while you are nursing.
