Are there problems with urinating after laparoscopic surgery?

Usually not: Any person who has had a general anesthetic can have delayed urinary function temporarily after surgery. Laparoscopic surgery usually has less risks of urinary retention after surgery, but risks may be slightly increased if it is a pelvic or uterus/ovary laparoscopic surgery. Again, this is only brief and temporary.

Sometimes: Some of the pain meds can make it difficult at any age and men can also have issues.
