Lots of reasons: Some of the most common: 1) not necessary (although there may be some health benefits - decreased risk of urinary tract infection or getting hiv) 2) usually done as a baby when the baby can't agree to have it done 3) it's more "natural" to leave the foreskin intact - we don't remove other parts of our body, for example.

The great debate!: This debate goes on and on, and has for decades. Anti-circumcision circles say the choice should be the adult, not done to a non-consenting baby, that it is painful, that you are deforming the child. Pro-people site medical reasons, hygiene, etc. It should be a personal decision based on a number of things, including medical, social, religious and personal input. There is not a right or wrong!
