A member asked:

Hpv is spread through contact so can you have hpv on your hands and in your mouth?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Different strains : The hpv that causes warts on skin are a different strain than what causes hpv in the mouth. Like humans are made up of many different strains, with different skin, eye and hair color, different shapes. So you can have warts on your hands and hpv in your mouth, but they aren't likely spread from one to the other.
