Ask # of homes.: Each assisted living home is a bit different in what they offer, what limitations the residents have that would be appropriate to reside there.Residents i follow at sunrise home in town where my practice is vary in their mobility function: completely independent, use of cane, walker, or largely confined to wheelchair. Ask what are the levels of health aide or nursing at facility. Visit & compare.

Senior services: Every county has a dept of senior services. They maybe able to assist you in finding senior independent housing as well as connecting you to agencies that can provide you with an aide.
