It varies: To answer this you need to be more specific as to what kind of surgery you are asking about. In general, facial healing is fairly quick. Most bruising will be gone within 7-14 days. Most swelling goes away in a few weeks but will continue to improve for up to a year. Smoking and other health problems can delay healing.

6 weeks: Any operation requires 6 weeks to heal to full strength. The majority of bruising and swelling is gone in 2 weeks.

It depends: Time to heal after facial plastic surgery really depends on the procedure and how comfortable you are being seen after the surgery. Some rhinoplasty patients feel comfortable in public 7-10 days after surgery and some facelift patients after 2 weeks. It is very individual. See a facial plastic surgeon and ask them to see pictures of patients at different time points in their recovery.

Depends on extent: There is a huge difference from a facelift with and forehead lift versus isolated upper eyelid surgery. Whereas the former may take weeks for swelling to resolve and months for a stable appearance, the latter is well healed by 3 weeks. All healing during the proliferation phase takes 6 weeks and the maturation phase may take years.W.

Depends upon where: The face has a great blood supply which allows it to heal faster. However, the time of healing will vary with the procedure, health of the patient and skill of the surgeon.
