What does a glycosated heamoglobin of 10% mean?

Nothing good: This is a change in the outer coat of your red blood cells, bathed in a sea of sugar. The more sugar, the higher the number over a three month or so interval. There is a strong correlation between this number and the risk of complications of diabetes. Strive to keep it below 7.0 and lower if possible.
