Can a pollen allergy cause you to choke?

Dr. Lee Perry answered

Possibly: Allergy to pollen can cause postnasal drainage, which cold make you feel like you are going to choke. This type of symptom is uncommon, however, compared to the cardinal symptoms of allergic rhinitis (runny nose, sneeze, itchy nose/eyes, nasal congestion).
