A member asked:

What happens inside the ear that causes the dizziness associated with rollercoasters?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Semicircular canals: Or the vestibular system are responsible for that. The fluid in these "balance canals or tubes" gets disturbed and leads to that sensation. I do not like roller coasters. The descent is too steep, the motion too fast and the jerking is rough on the neck and vertebral arteries....
