Not really: Sleep hygiene (new phrase) is important. It is beneficial to go to bed at the same time u(approximately) at night and get p at the same time to create a biorhythm. Going to bed a few hours earlier is not that helpful. (a few minutes to half hour yes.)the bed should be used for sleep and sex.Many people read and watch tv in bed. ..Not good. The room should be dark and cool as well.
