I have more trouble going to bed early and waking up at a normal time in the winter. could it be from the time change?

Daylight Savings: It is usually the opposite. During this dark time people usually find themselves wanting to go to bed earlier and sleeping later. So, this sounds more like a habit than a result of the time difference in daylight savings.
