Pelvic organ prolaps: Sacrocolpopexy is a surgical procedure to correct pelvic organ prolapse( vaginal prolapse, cystocele, rectocele, enterocele). It's an abdominal proc which can be done with minimally invasive surgery( laparoscopy, or davinci robot assisted laparoscopy ). It's considered the gold standard. It uses a synthetic or biological mesh that envelops the vagina and its anchored to the sacral promontory.
