Other uses include treatment of cyanide poisoning, & hereditary deficiency of transcobalamin ii. High B12 levels may protect elderly against brain atrophy. High-dose B12 has been found to stimulate th1 suppressor t-cells which down-regulate over-production of allergy antibody ig-e.
