A member asked:

Is xenical (orlistat, alli) effective to lose 20lbs within one year?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, it can work: A meta-analysis of 22 studies trials showed that average weight loss was about 20lb over the course of a year. However, the weight came back after stopping the medication. It's not great to take the med long term (unpleasant side effects), so it'll really take a good diet and exercise regimen to keep the weight off. Good luck!
