See doctor: Signs of a knee infection are swelling, redness, warmth, fever, difficulty bending the knee and possibly drainage. Severe or persistent pain is a symptom. If there was a puncture wound then there is a greater chance for developing an infection, but also may occur by blood borne pathogen. If concerned please see pcp immediately.
