Wound care: Typically, most scrapes ae not deep enough to scar permanently. The best way to avoid scarring is to avoid inflammation. Keeping the area clean, using a antiobiotic ointment to maintain a little moisture and protecting the area is the best way.

You can't: The amount of scarring depends on the depth of the scrape. Apply neosporin 3x/day and keeping it moist will help it heal quicker.

You cannot: Amount of scarring is result of the depth of the scrape. The deeper the scrape the more likely there is going to be scarring.
