Is there penicillin in cipro (ciprofloxacin)?

No: Cipro (ciprofloxacin) does not contain penicillin and does not cross-react with penicillin in those with penicillin allergy.

Penicillin and cipro (ciprofloxacin): No . Penicillin is a beta-lactam antibiotic and Cipro (ciprofloxacin) is a fluoroquinolone. They are in two separate families and do not cross react. Some people react to a lot of antibiotics however, and can be allergic to both.
