A member asked:

My baby can not poop! doctor gave mirilax . nothing is working! he is two weeks old and hurting! what can i do!?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: If your newborn is breast or formula feeding well and poop is not bloody, tarry, or mixed with mucus or hard pellets-relax, there is no need to panic. If you have issues with blockage or obstruction-he/she would be not tolerating the feeds you offer (fussy, vomiting and not gaining weight). I assume urination is good.
