What's the best choice in treating absence seizures?

Proper diagnosis: Too many patients are considered as having absence seizures when they really do not. They need good evaluation with eeg and neurological evaluation. Then appropriate trial of medication would be justified. The choice of treatment will depend on the full evaluation results.
