No, corn pollen is not the same as the vegetable corn. This comes up with nut trees too, like pecan pollen vs pecan nuts, walnut tree pollen vs walnuts. The allergens in the pollens are not the same as the allergens in the "fruits" the plant produces. We have different skin tests for each and can show you how your responses differ.
