A member asked:

After doing radiofrequency ablation, would traces of wpw still be visible on your ecg?

Usually not: The rf ablation will "fry" the pre-excitation pathway which will remove the pre-excitation seen on the ecg. I would recommend speaking more with your cardiologist about your concerns.

Wpw : If an ablation for WPW is successful the classic changes of WPW should not be present. There might be changes which mimic them however produced by the ablation damage but they shouldn't be early repolarization.

No: Usually the pr inteval returns to normal and the delta wave is no longer seen.

No: The delta wave characteristic of WPW occurs because of a direct accessory pathway connection between the atria and ventricle (short pr because of early ventricular activation). Disrupting this w ablation eliminates the delta wave.
