Is it true if you take senna with not enough water it will make it difficult to have a bowel movement?

Probably not: Senna is a stimulant laxative; so unless the body is dehydrated, senna should not constipate. Fiber laxatives/supplements, however, do require extra fluid intake to prevent constipation, for they absorb water from the bowel to soften stool; if available fluid is inadequate, stool will be firm.
