A member asked:

What is the difference between acne or an hiv skin lesion area?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Huge difference: Acne lesions are the familiar squeezable blackheads, whiteheads from which filaments can be expressed, and pimples. There are a variety of HIV skin lesions but these are less prone to appear and disappear, look distinctively different from the acne that many of your friends have, and really can't be confused with acne. Any concern you have about HIV can be discussed frankly with your physician.
