Unlikely: Major cause for pingueculitis is not known but it is found that those people who are exposed to sun, wind, dust and dry climate for a longer time are more vulnerable to this condition. Consult with ophthalmologist for more details about this condition.

Possibly: Pingueculitis is inflammation of a conjunctival lesion and scleroderma is an autoimmune inflammatory disease. It is possible that scleroderma may cause pingueculitis but it is not a common finding of the disease.
