Finger pain: Finger pain can be a sign of joint pain(arthritis), tendinitis(tendon inflammation), but I am assuming you have not injured your finger(trauma).

Many different cause: If the pain is not linked to an injury your physician must eliminate a number of possibilities: diabetic neuropathy, gout, or a number of other seemingly unrelated conditions., check with your physician.

In this area there: Are nerves, blood vessels and fascial structures, a ganglion or cyst or a trigger finger can also seem to hurt there. Gout or tenosynovitis can hurt ther too...A thrombosed vein or a bruised nerve or a glomus tumor can affect this area too as well as a foreign body or sliver..... Most important tho there is an infection that can develop somewhat hidden in this area, .
