Holter monitor: A holter monitor is used to evaluate palpitations. This can tell us exactly what the heart is doing when the palpitation occurs. In many cases, these are pvcs and are very common and generally harmless unless they occur frequently/in rapid succession. They are often more noticeable at night because our attention is diverted during the day making them less obvious.
