Depends on what kind: Palpitation can be due to a heightened normal body response response to a situation or to an abnormal or so called ectopic rhythm . If yours is cause by the latter , once a day is one day too many. If it is the former your doctor may want to look for other things such as mental or other medical conditions including anemia,thyroid etc
