Heart problem: Wolff-parkinson-white syndrome is a disorder of electrical conduction of the heart. Patients with WPW can have rapid heart beat (tachycardia) and very rarely sudden cardiac death. The tachycardia can be treated by medications. The abnormal conduction is due to an extra electrical pathway (bypass tract) in the heart. There are techniques to destroy the extra pathway that will cure wpw.
