A member asked:

I'm thinking of taking prenatal vitamins for hair/etc (not pregnant). is this safe?

Prenatals are safe: Generally speaking, taking prenatal vitamins are safe. The extra folate (folic acid) can also help prevent birth defects, so prenatals are a very good idea when trying to conceive (before getting pregnant).
