A member asked:

Anyone out here dealing with mastocytosis and found a cure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Patients with cutaneous and indolent systemic mastocytosis have a favorable prognosis, over 95% of them life expectancy is not reduced. In >50% of the cases of cutaneous mastocytosis in children, there is remission by the time the patient reaches adolescence. In adults it is generally chronic; only in a small proportion of patients with indolent systemic mastocytosis does it tend to regress.
