Colonoscopy: The bowel movements can irritate your hemorrhoids. You can try a cortisone cream to decrease the irritation and also coat the hemorrhoid with desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) cream as a barrier before starting your bowel prep.

Unfortunately yes: The bowel prep will cause the hemorrhoids to flare. Using witch hazel, tucks pads and desitin (zinc oxide diaper cream) will help.
