Tendon ruptures and disabilities caused from levaquin (levofloxacin)?

Fluoroqunolones: Based on the information in animal studies, this class of drugs is avoid in children and there are reports of tendonitis in adults from prolonged use. I personally have used this class of drugs for prolonged periods of time in patients with chronic infection and have never seen any problems with tendonitis.
