Risks and benefits: All medications have risks and benefits. Bactrim is a medication like Levaquin. In general, medications are in our body (eg. Liver or kidneys) which may limit the amount of medication. I found retail drug store pharmacists are a good source of medication precautions and may be able to provide a print out for your review. Bactrim is a drug that has been in the market for a long time.

Ok: Levofloxin is a fluroquinolone and can weaken the tendons.Bactrim is a sulfa drug and no incidence of increase tendon problems with this medication.
