Not bad: Had them myself after septal surgery and i can tell you it is nothing to worry about. They are soft rubber and come out easily.

Nasal splints: External nasal splints ( usually after rhinoplasty or nasal fracture repair) are simple and painless. Internal splints, sometimes used after septal repair or reconstruction, does cause some discomfort upon removal but it takes but a few seconds and no discomfort afterwards.
