Yes: I have had nasal splints after septal surgery. It was no problem having them removed. They are soft rubber and came out easily.

Common: Internal nasal splints are also called septal splints. They are used to stabilize the nose and septum after septoplasty or septorhinoplasty surgery. The splint consists of a rigid or semi-rigid material that is placed on either side of the septum. The splints are brought closed together by a small stitch. After the stitch is removed the splints should slide out easily.
