Food intolerance: Food intolerance is a generic term that has had its meaning morphed over time. Food intolerance is any food that a person cannot tolerate. This can be due to allergies, enzyme deficiencies (like lactase deficiency), medication interactions (tetracyclines and milk), uncomfortable feelings (green pepper causing gastic reflux), and somatic (beans causing 'excessive' flatulence). These are just exampl.

Food intolerance : It is something such as lactose intolerance or celiac disease (gluten intolerance). Both are due to a lack of an enzyme or enzymes to break down lactose or gluten. It differs from a food allergy which is an antibody mediated disease (ige).

Eat=feel bad: If you have physical symptoms after eating a nominal food item, you do not tolerate it.Others may consume it with no difficulty. This might be a food dye like red #40 that can cause cramping and diarrhea, or lactose sugar in milk for those that cannot digest it. You do not have to be allergic to it to be intolerant, but if you are allergic to a food you are intolerant to that food.
