Iwhat could cause severe stabbing pain that is only in one leg?

Could be several thi: Anything from muscle pain to blood clots. In one leg the first thing i would find out about is called dvt- a blood clot in the deep veins. These can be dangerous and must be diagnosed quuickly and treated right away.
