What can cause stabbing electrical shock pain (almost debilitating when it happens) in my leg?

Shock waves pain: There are several possibilities. You may have a nerve pinch in the area of your low back that irritates a nerve and send shock waves. Or other possibilities. See your doctor for an examination to determine the cause so you can get treatment.

Sciatica : Most likely from a nerve root irritation possible disc herniation in the lumbar area in the lower back. It could improve with physical therapy and anti inflammatory meds but if gets worse or persists then should get an MRI and evaluation by neurosurgeon or ortho spine.
