CD affecting colon: Colitis: inflammation of the colon. Lots of types including infectious, ischemic (poor blood flow), and inflammatory bowel disease-ibd. Ibd is of unknown cause, likely genetic predisposition, chronic, wax and wane. Ulcerative colitis (uc) affects inner lining of colon, starts in rectum. Crohn's disease (cd) is full thickness infl of bowel, mostly ileum, and/or colon, can skip segments of bowel.

Colon disease: Crohnd colitis is inflammatory disease of colon which couls cause chronic diarrohea and abdominal pain due to colitis.

Crohn's colitis: People often mistake this term and claim they've been diagnosed with both Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Actually it is Crohn's disease that involves the colon. Crohn's can cause an isolated ileitis (small intestine), ileocolitis (both), etc.
