I have a normal eeg but i get a muscle spasm every 10 minutes or so. what could the problem be?

Wrong test: An eeg is best for evaluating for seizures, not muscle jerks/spasms (myoclonus). The test that might be more appropriate for that would be an EMG to check the connections between the nerves and the muscles. However, before that test, such things as electrolyte problems (such as magnesium, potassium, calcium) should be explored. Especially if repetitive, myoclonus can mean some serious problems.
