TMJ?: Pain with jaw movement on one side of the head suggests disorder of the temporal mandibular joint, with referred pain pattern. A near-50 age and maleness are not usually associated with TMJ disorder however. If symptoms are bilateral, then a central (brain) disorder is of concern. If true facial muscle palsy, then is complex problem. The best type of doctor to evaluate is probably a neurologist.

See a neurologist: the symptoms you described are similar to Tardive Dyskinesia. It is a neurologic movement disorder with involuntary movements of the jaw, tongue, lips and face. See a neurologist for evaluation and diagnosis. Good luck.
