A member asked:

How do you know if you are suffering from a medical level of insomnia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Look at daytime fxn: Look at your daytime function to know if this is affecting you enough to seek medical attention. Insomnia is difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or waking before desired bedtime plus daytime dysfynction. If you find that your daytime activities/function are limited because of your poor quality nighttime sleep, seek help either with doctor or other professional.
