See a sleep doc: Please see your family practitioner first and ask for a possible sleep medicine evaluation and referral. The increase in your hematocrit could be coming from repeated loss of oxygen at night. The insomnia can be caused by sleep apnea which can also cause the loss of oxygen. Sounds like you probably sleep with your mouth open. Perhaps there is some blockage of your nasal or sinus passageways. Your family practitioner should be able to lead you in the right direction. Best wishes.

Not necessarily : Your hemoglobin level is just slightly elevated from the normal range of 12.8-16.8. Insomnia and dry mouth (dehydration) are symptoms not true disease conditions or etiology. There may or may not be a significant association of this finding and your symptoms. Seek the advise of a skilled internist or physician to consult with.
