Possibly: Most people with protruding discs can get epidurals it depends upon where the protrusion is. It is best to take your films to an anesthesiologist who will determine if an epidural is safe.

Pregnant: I assume you would like to have an epidural for symptoms related to the disc - then yes not as problem. If you want the epidural for the delivery - also not a problem.

Fine: Protruding discs are in a different location anatomically than where epidural catheters are placed so there is no issue with labor epidurals. If a disc is close to or already causing nerve impingement than can be made worse with giving birth.
